ABOUT US

We Play Summer Day Camp Inc. is inspired by a group of young and hip Registered Early Childhood Educators. We inspire the best educators either, ECE or OCT to work as a part of our integral team. We are a group of educators that are committed to teaching life skills through play with our vibrant approach to education. We understand that your child’s first camp experience is a significant moment for you and your child(ren). We as educators are devoted to enrich your child’s first experience through amazing activities that are based upon YOUR child’s interests, motivations and curiosity.

Our mission is to provide a program that is dynamic and play based. We will explore the great outdoors in the City of Toronto. Most importantly, your child will be given every opportunity to foster their social, emotional and physical development through our wonderful program based on child development and our weekly excursions.

children must be 4 by 1st day of camp to age 9 to register

Camp Hours: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Camp Dates: July 4, 2022 - August 26, 2022(8 weeks of FUN)

We all have one thing in common. Our number one priority is creating a fun and nurturing community that challenges our kids to constantly improve.

KERRISSA BREWSTER

Kerrissa is a fun loving fashionishta who has a strong belief in family, especially her own. She comes from a West Indian background, born in Trinidad but raised in the Tdot. Kerrissa is a partner and co-founder of We Play Summer Day Camp. She received her diploma in Early Childhood Education at George Brown College where she received the P.A.C.E award for outstanding academics and community involvement. She has also done training through CAMH in strengthening families and facilitated a group for families needing to work on better communication strategies. Kerrissa is a hardworking ECE with a passion for child development and working with diverse families with different needs. However when she isn’t ECE’ing she’s probably out shopping or enjoying time with her family!

JOHN CHANG

John is first and foremost a wonderful husband to his wife, Pamela, and father to their fur baby, Walnut (We Play’s official play consultant). John is a partner and co-founder of We Play Summer Day Camp. He is also an educator for TDSB at Swansea Public School as well as Swansea Kinder Kids before and after school program. John is an educator with a vast knowledge in child development and special needs. His passion for teaching young children began with his 2 year overseas experience teaching native children in Seoul, Korea. During his spare time, John enjoys snowboarding and playing various summer sports such as baseball and soccer.

CARLOS TORRES

Carlos is a partner and co-founder of We Play Summer Day Camp. He graduated from George Brown College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. He has been a Registered Early Childhood Educator for 5 years. He is currently employed at Swansea Kinder Kids for his third year in a before and after school program. Carlos’ passion for working with children started at a young age and continues to grow today. His parents were professionals in the field of child development and inspired him to follow in their footsteps. He was born in Ecuador and his family migrated to Canada 13 years ago. Carlos is committed to providing children with a loving and developmentally appropriate foundation for a life time of learning. Carlos is very excited to start this summer program and strongly believes that his energetic and adventurous self will be a great asset. On a side note, another one of his passions is soccer. Therefore, soccer week at We Play Day Summer Camp will be his time to shine!
